My TRS Member Portal
My TRS is a secure portal into your account. You can access it by clicking the 'log in' button at the top of the screen.
With My TRS, you can select beneficiaries, update your address, view your contributions, and stay up to date on your future retirement benefit (once you are vested).
Tier 1
If you became a TRS member before July 1, 2013 and have not withdrawn your funds from TRS, you are a Tier 1 member.
Retirement Eligibility
Service Retirement options:
- Age 60 with a minimum of five years of creditable service
- Any age with 25 years of creditable service or service reported within 25 fiscal years
Early Retirement (with reduced benefit):
- Age 50 with 5 years of creditable service
Gross Annual Benefit Amount Calculation
Years of Creditable Service x Average Final Compensation (AFC) x 1.6667%
AFC for Tier 1 is based on the three highest consecutive fiscal years of earned compensation. The annual benefit is distributed in 12 equal monthly payments.
Tier 2
You are a Tier 2 member if:
- You became a TRS member on or after July 1, 2013
- You withdrew a full refund of all contributions you made to TRS as a Tier 1 member and were rehired into a TRS-reportable position on or after July 1, 2013

- Age 60 with a minimum of five years of creditable service
- Age 55 with 30 year of creditable service
Professional Option (Tier 2 only)
- Age 60 with 30 years of creditable service
Early Retirement (reduced benefit)
- Age 55 with five years of creditable service
Gross Annual Benefit Calculation
Years of Creditable Service x Average Final Compensation (AFC) x 1.85%
AFC for Tier 2 is based on the five highest consecutive fiscal years. The annual benefit is distributed in 12 equal monthly payments.
